Saperavi silk scarf by Kirke – inspired by Colchian vineyard grapes

How was made the scarf "Saperavi".

The Tale of the Colchian Vineyard — The "Saperavi" Scarf

The scorching sun can do nothing to the resilient Colchian vineyards.
On a distant island, I dared to press my favorite wine — the clusters of Saperavi still greet me as they always have.

The smile of Dionysus inspired me to summon him to my vineyard.
With his usual grandeur, he stepped in and emptied a Colchian goblet to the last drop.
“Worthy of the gods’ own chalice,” he told me.

Colchian colors ferment in my qvevris,
and I run barefoot — there, beneath the clay vessels, a secret awakens —
a story held only by this scarf, a story you too can carry.

According to Ivane Javakhishvili, Saperavi first spread through the ancient Georgian province of Shavsheti-Klarjeti, then journeyed east and southeast from the lands of Colchis, eventually finding its home in Kakheti.

“Saperavi” is not just a scarf.
It is a journey through tradition and 8,000 years of history.

Wear the scent of my vineyard, wear the magic, wear the story —
a story of glory that lives for centuries in our land.
Wear your story.
