Why Kirke?

Which horizon do the gods gaze upon?
Where does the sun rise for them — and where does it set?
The story of a goddess born at dawn, a Colchian Kirké, perhaps begins at the very edge where the sea breathes and the wind sings.
I took my vacation in winter and set my course for the Black Sea.
Cold air. Green waves. That familiar, long-missed sound of the sea.
Standing on the shore, I remembered Kirké — and Medea.
Maybe this was the horizon they looked toward.
Maybe this was their home, where time stands still...
I realized Kirké had always been within me.
I imagined a woman — with a Colchian face, flowing hair,
and a silk scarf from Kirké gently wrapped around her.
As if time had paused just for her.
And that’s how Kirké was born —
a reflection of Colchian beauty, strength, and serenity.
